THE WALDORF SCHOOL OF PALM BEACH

Our mission is to “honor spirit, respect individuality, and build a diverse and heartfelt community” which guides all our educational activities and informs and shapes our community traditions and customs.

We are dedicated to providing education inspired by the Waldorf philosophy for the children and families of South Florida. This foundation maximizes the potential for learning, loving and creating to unfold naturally in children while helping to remove obstacles in their paths. Academics, art, music and movement are interwoven to meet the developmental needs of the whole child. At the Waldorf School of Palm Beach, we are preparing children to be conceptual thinkers whose self-understanding, compassion, expressiveness and creative problem-solving skills equip them to take on life to its fullest potential while providing an antidote to violence, alienation and cynicism.

About The Waldorf School of Palm Beach

The Waldorf School Palm Beach began as a parent-lead playgroup called The Sea Star Initiative in the spring of 2006. By winter of that year, the group filed as a non-profit and the school quickly grew. In the fall of 2007, the full week Early Childhood program began and in 2008, the Grades program launched with the pioneering first grade. The school had started with a handful of students but has continued to grow, year after year.

In 2019, the school changed its name to the Waldorf School of Palm Beach. Our school is now an Associate member of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) and a proud member of the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America (WECAN).

Our school now offers a unique and much-needed education alternative in South Florida for children in Pre-K through 8th Grade. It is here that teachers draw forth the amazing capacities children bring and where the curriculum is based on the development of children into whole human beings.

As the children and community at WSPB  continue to thrive, so does the growth of the school.

The Waldorf School of Palm Beach aspires to cultivate each child’s unique gift to the world while sparking a joy for learning.
