AFTERSCHOOL ENRICHMENT
In the afternoons we offer a series of unique programs to our community.
Afterschool Enrichment clubs and opportunities are open to currently enrolled Waldorf School of Palm Beach Students only
NEW! Journalism Club for Grades 5+
Upper Campus- Days vary- 3:45-4:45
Calling all artists, writers, editors, poets, photographers, reporters, storytellers, comic illustrators, layout designers and more!
This year, Ms. Gabriel is happy to present the student-led WSPB Journalism Club!
Students will create a monthly newsletter by hand that reflects the unique and beautiful talent within WBSP while also bringing to light important news happening in our school and our community. Students will learn the tenets of journalism, what it takes to create a good newsletter, and strengthen their writing and artistic abilities while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
If your child is interested in sharing their unique gifts and love for their school and community, we would love to let them shine through the WSPB newsletter.
Robotics Club
For Grades 5+
Upper Campus- Tuesdays 3:45-4:45
Our students are invited to learn the basics of robotics, engineering, and 3D printing with Mr. Sam by building simple robots including cars that light up, hi-tech paper airplanes, and robots that wobble and draw geometric patterns.
Throughout the process of building and decorating these simple moving robots, students will also practice skills applicable to fields such as electrical and mechanical engineering, including breadboarding, Soldering Circuit boards and more.
Gardening Club for Grades 5+
Gardening Club for grades 1-4 for coming soon, stay tuned!
Upper Campus-Wednesdays 3:45-4:45
Our students are invited to explore the beautiful school garden. At the Upper campus, Mr. Ralph will teach the students about the varieties of plants we have growing, how to care for them, and their unique properties.
Depending on the season, students may be mulching, weeding, planting, harvesting, or processing the plants and their bounties as part of the club activities.
Cooking Club for Grades 1+
Lower Campus- Wednesdays 3:45-4:45
Upper Campus- Thursdays 1:45-2:45
Our students are invited to experiment with a variety of recipes, explore cooking basics, practice kitchen safety and etiquette, and make a variety of tasty dishes to enjoy in our cooking club with Ms. Britt!
For our younger apprentice chefs at the lower campus, we spend more time getting to know individual ingredients, working on fine motor skills, and exploring popular dishes from around the world. At the upper campus, students are introduced to more advanced recipes, additions such as sauces and sides, kitchen tool safety, nutrition, and how to customize dishes to meet their own preferences and dietary needs.
The cooking club at both campuses will be working solely with vegetarian ingredients for the 2026-27 school year. Please contact Ms. Britt in advance if your child has food restrictions or allergies to discuss options.
