Last week was our Transition to First Grade Event, where families from our Kindergarten Class came to our Grades Campus to learn more about what we offer at the Grades level. Parents were able to meet our Admissions Coordinator, Tal Solomon, one of our Board Co-Chairs, Ivy Dash and Connie Granja, our Marketing and Communications Specialist.

The Spiral of Lights is a beloved tradition celebrated in Waldorf schools around the world, as a celebration of the coming darkness of winter. At WSPB, a spiral garden of greenery is created in the Big Room. Children walk through the spiral with candles to signify their inner light and the promise that life begins again in spring.

We had such an amazing turnout today at our Winter Faire! Thank you to Aline Cleto and everyone in Parent Council, the Faculty, Board, Staff, and of course the parents that helped organize, set up, donated food, volunteered, and attended.

The 4th Graders have been learning about Florida history and geography and last week they went on a field trip to Shark Valley Visitor Center at the Everglades National Park.

As part of the Spanish curriculum, Señora Garzon, Señora Villalobos, and Señora Sampedro led the children in a short assembly introducing the Mexican celebration of “Día de Los Muertos” (Day of the Dead).

The Early Childhood Campus celebrated Halloween in the most special way.

It is with deep sadness that we share with you news about Ms. Rena.

The children created beautiful books for Ms. Rena to wish her well during her recovery. Many of the children in grades 1-5 had Ms. Rena as a teacher in Kindergarten, so this was a very special gift!

Last week our school had the honor of renown Waldorf Speaker and Educator Nancy Blanning come to give a talk to parents at our school titled: “The Twelve Senses.”

Ms. Rena Osmer was the first teacher, and one of the founding members of our school, 12 years ago. Now she needs help. Please visit this link to help support her in her healing.

Our Early Childhood students began their first day on Tuesday, with Family Day! For the first day of school, parents of our Nursery and Kindergarten students are invited to attend and stay the day to help the children transition to their new classroom and teacher.
