Viktória Havasi-Maklary

Story Telling

Viktoria earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies from the University of Hertfordshire in Budapest in 2005 and brings over a decade of experience as a music manager in Hungary, specializing in concert and event organization. As a mother of two and wife to a traveling musician, she came to recognize the importance of nurturing children’s emotional well-being and supporting their healthy development.

Her interest in anthroposophy, combined with her deep love for children and a desire to contribute to their development, inspired her transition from the music and events industry into education. After relocating to Boca Raton in 2018, Viktoria was introduced to the principles and benefits of Waldorf education through her children’s experience at the Waldorf School of Palm Beach. This personal connection became the foundation for a new professional path rooted in education, child development, and anthroposophy.

Viktoria completed three years of anthroposophical studies in Hungary, receiving her diploma as a Therapeutic and Healing Storyteller in 2021. Her studies deepened her understanding of anthroposophy, the inner development of the human being, and the transformative and therapeutic power of storytelling.

At the Waldorf School of Palm Beach, Viktoria previously served as a storytelling teacher, sharing her love of stories and creating a space where children could experience the imagination, wisdom, and emotional nourishment that stories can offer.

Building on this foundation, Viktoria went on to complete the Waldorf Learning Support Teacher training in Chicago, an extensive three-year professional training focused on understanding and supporting children’s individual learning and developmental needs within the Waldorf educational approach. Through this training, she developed a deeper understanding of child development, observation and assessment, learning differences, therapeutic educational approaches, and practical methods for providing individualized support to students.

Following the completion of this training, Viktoria began a new chapter at the Waldorf School of Palm Beach as a Waldorf Learning Support Teacher. In this role, she works with students across the school community, supporting classroom learning and conducting assessments to better understand each child’s individual strengths, needs, and developmental journey. She collaborates closely with teachers to develop thoughtful, developmentally appropriate support and to help each child feel seen, understood, and encouraged in their learning.

Viktoria is passionate about bringing together her anthroposophical background, Waldorf Learning Support training, storytelling experience, and life experience to support children in a holistic, compassionate, and individualized way.
